Return to God and give Him everything

The more I walk with God I realize that God loves simplicity. Simplicity may not be what you think it is. God wants to change us. It is for our benefit. We get stuck in a comfort zone, we feel confident, thinking we are good. We take matters into our own hands. We feel so good that we don’t rely on Him for anything anymore. We continue with a sense of false security.

God might think it is necessary to allow pain to bring you down to your face. He will restrain people who are so stuck in their own head. It is for our good to sincerely return to a place of acknowledging God and putting everything back into His hands. This is the mercy of God. You may not hear this in your churches.

What is it that you need to put back into His hands? A project? Relationship? Investment? Don’t wait. Do it now. Don’t waste anymore time.

If there is an ounce of pride in us we will resist it (and resist God) and we will not change. We will continue kicking and crying and wanting to see promotion, and even ask God to bless us, but it won’t come. God desires to build us up from the foundation. If you grab something with your own wisdom, you’ll have to sustain it yourself. It is corrupted. Except God leads you, you will not succeed.

The best thing you can do if you feel chained up right now, ridden with anxiety and worry, is to get down on your knees and cry out to God. Put it back in His hands. Return to your foundation. Acknowledge that you are not as smart as you think you are, acknowledge that you are not the savior of your family. Return to Him.
